Though Poles Apart

We were poles apart,

You & me,

As different from each other,

As two people could be.

Hardly did we ever agree,

Never did we see the same side,

And even when we did,

We tried our best to hide.

But every one else saw the reality,

How much one was like the other,

But if accepted that,

Could we even be brother and sister?
