The healing note

As the sky turned golden,

And the view turned magical,

As the birds set out home,

And the sun was about to retire.

As the sunflowers turned in their petals,

And the tube lilies spread theirs,

As the moon got ready for the night,

And the stars opened their windows.

But the songbird refused to fly back,

Into its awaiting nest,

And sat perched on the wire,

Silhouetted against the sky.

Its job was not done yet,

For there were still hearts that needed to heal,

It knew the power of music

That could heal.

So it sang beyond its time,

Musical notes of strength,

Assuring this staggering world,

About love, care and hope.
